Empowering Nyamira Rural Women Farmers: Cultivating prosperity, Equity and Sustainability
Donate NowNyamira Rural Women Farmers Cooperative was registered on 21st October 2021 under the Ministry of Trade and Cooperatives. The society is situated at Ekerenyo, Nyamira North District, Nyamira County along Nyamira-Ikonge road.
Our cooperative currently has 605 women farmers including youth members, and serves as a platform where women farmers access affordable inputs, capacity building in agronomic practices, access to agricultural technologies resources and market access to enhance their agricultural productivity.
By coming together under a common goal, the cooperative aims to create opportunities for rural women to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the economic development of their families and the community.
Fostering a future where every woman farmer is empowered to cultivate a prosperous and sustainable environment for their families and communities through sustainable agriculture.
To advance the social economic well-being of rural women farmers through collective action, innovative agricultural technologies, access to production resources and facilitating equitable market to support sustainable livelihoods.

We offer a variety of agricultural products with focus on Indigenous Local Vegetables and Banana Products:
Spider plant, black night shade, amaranth, jutemallow, cow peas and pumpkin leaves
Preserved indigenous vegetables with extended shelf life
Nutrient-rich powders made from indigenous vegetables
For hair and skincare applications
Organically grown fresh bananas
Green banana flour, green peels flour, and ripe peels banana flour
Banana jam, banana bites, and banana spread
Banana lotion, hairspray, dishwashing liquid, lip balm, and soap
Nyamira Rural Women Farmers' Cooperative offers the following services to our members:
Bulk purchases of quality seeds, organic fertilizers, biopesticides, and farm tools at reduced costs
Training in organic farming techniques and regenerative agriculture practices
Water harvesting technologies including water pans, rooftop rainwater systems, and drip irrigation
Collective marketing of products to access larger markets and negotiate better prices
Training in processing techniques to transform raw vegetables and bananas into value-added products
Access to mobile-based platforms for weather forecasts, market prices, and agronomic advice
